It’s not a Class, it’s a Workshop

A lot of people ask if their children can take art classes here.
We don’t offer classes, per se - instead we run Workshops - which are focused on the fine-art of fine-art of printmaking. We guide you through the tools and the techniques in each session and then spend the majority of the time working on your individual projects -and- all working together on our collaborative art pieces throughout the shop.

We only charge for the kids, accompanying adults are free and you work on your own projects too!

Workshops are very messy - so wear clothes you don’t care about (both the kids & adults).

Workshop FAQs

Very sorry but we are not set up for drop-ins. All our workshops are pre-scheduled events, posted on our Calendar

For the Fall/Winter months, we are running a weekly Saturday Afternoon Workshop - every Saturday (4:00-5:30pm). Each week, we’ll be exploring a variety of activities, centered around printmaking & painting. Our hope is that kids will come to try it out and if they like it - keep coming back week after week.

Unless otherwise noted, all our workshops are suitable for ages 18 months and up.

We always get a nice range of ages for each session. Sometimes, the older kids come and see younger kids - and get upset as they feel they are part of a baby class. It's not the case - even the adults create, so it's really for all ages.

We do run Toddler Workshops a few times each month - which are suitable for ages 1-4 years.

In addition, we run a Cartooning/Comics Workshop every Wednesday which is suitable for ages 7 and up.

We do plan to run an “Advanced Cartooning for Teens” starting in November - if you are interested, please Click Here to Email us.

The Toddler Workshop is very similar in scope - we also do the printmaking and painting activities - but for Toddlers, we gear it more toward the tactile and sensory based activites - and the parents are guided through the process a bit more to help them assist their little ones.

Our ‘Regular’ Workshops are for all ages and toddlers do attend - but we don't slow down the process and instructions at all - since we are guiding a wide range of ages - we just have to keep moving through the process.

Many Toddlers do attend our ‘regular’ workshops and enjoy it very much.

No, we are a Printmaking shop and all the kids will create their own set of prints (ink on paper) using our kid-friendly printing press. The paintings on display in our shop are collaborative art pieces that everyone works on together, over time - but they stay here in the shop.

You must reserve your spot through our website - we are not set up for drop-in. Cost for our workshops ranges from $30-$40 per 90 minute session and we only charge for the kids -accompanying adults are free (and you create your own prints too).

We supply all materials - you only need to bring yourself, your toddler and wear clothes that can get messy. You are welcome to bring snacks. We don’t have a changing station per-se, though we have set up a table, in the shop, where you will be able to comfortably change your child.

The session is very very messy - and some parents actually bring an extra set of clothes for the child to change before leaving.

Please Email us if you have any questions or concerns.
