Learn Cartooning

Learn the art of cartooning in our hands-on, creative six-week workshop series for ages 8 and up. We will work with your child to develop their drawing skills and teach them techniques to approach the creation of characters, settings and visual references to create their own comic strips, comic books or graphic novels.

Emphasis on drawing with pencil, pen and ink. All materials will be provided and no prior experience is necessary. We have two classes running each week:

• Intro to Cartooning | Wednesdays (4:00-5:30pm)
• The Cartooning Workshop | Thursdays (5:30-7:00pm) 

WHICH CLASS IS RIGHT FOR MY CHILD?
We strongly suggest taking our “Intro to Cartooning” class before joining the Thursday workshop series. If you feel your child is ready to jump right into the, slightly more advanced, Workshop series, please email us and we can discuss. The intro class will focus on developing proper techniques in drawing characters, expressions, movement and background settings. 

The workshop series is where students will focus on longer-term projects (comic books, comic strips, graphic novels, etc).
