We’ve been working on this collaborative piece with kids for about 8 months now and it has changed a lot. Below are a few shots of how it looked when I should have taken it off the wall. I loved the way this looked, but when kids are involved and we allow them to continually work on a piece, it usually doesn't stay a certain way for very long. I am glad I took these pics when i did. We’ll see how it looks when we finally decide to take it down.
Today, my wife, two boys and I just went on our very first road trip in a long time - and I am writing this sitting in a hotel room in center of Syracuse. Tomorrow morning, we are driving about 30 miles north to pick up Bowie, our new Australian Labradoodle puppy. She is supposed to be hypo-allergenic, we’ll see what happens - but we’re keeping her no matter what.
It’s more important than ever for our kids to be creating and drawing and using their hands to make stuff. This blog is my attempt to come up with ideas for them to do just that. Thanks for stopping by.
Thanks for scrolling all the way. If you’re in NYC area, come in for a workshop. If outside NYC, drop us a note and we’ll get back with ways to connect with your kids. Stay creative and have a great day!
