Welcome to Little Pulp - a Printmaking Workshop and Collaborative Art Studio built
specifically for kids (and their adults).
This is what we do ⤵
A truly unique art experience for you and your child. A Little Pulp workshop is 90 minutes of high-impact creativity filled with drawing, painting and printmaking.
Our team guides you through the tools & techniques (no experience necessary). You’ll both create a series of beautiful prints, using our kid-friendly printing press -and- work on large collaborative paintings & papiér-maché sculptures throughout our expansive 5,000 sq/ft studio.
A Little Pulp birthday party is not for the faint of heart. Two hours of high-energy creativity in a real working art studio, nestled into a mall. Sounds crazy, we know - but if you need convincing, we suggest Reading some Yelp Reviews.
Everyone gets involved (including the adults). Parties are for all ages (we’ve celebrated with 1, 2 and 3 year olds as well as 14, 15 and 16 year olds and all ages in between.
We offer private events for Homeschool Groups, Girl & Boy Scout Troops, Neurodivergent and Private Adult Workshops.
If you are looking to have an event with your group, please click on the link below to email us for more info & availability.
Suitable for all school ages (kindergarten through 8th grade).
Each student creates his/her own series of prints, operating our kid-friendly printing press. We discuss art history and color theory in a light and humorous way. The focus is on drawing and using their imagination to come up with their own ideas.n In addition to the printmaking, we also work on large-scale paintings and mixed-media pieces throughout our 5,000 sq/ft studio.
Parent chaperones and teachers actively participate and create their own series of prints too!
Suitable for ages 7 and up.
A series of workshops for kids that love to draw and want to make their own comic books. No long-term commitment. Most kids come back each week, where the session functions like an open studio. We guide your child on proper techniques to develop characters and craft their storylines. Drawing with pencil, pen and ink will be the focus. All materials and supplies will be provided. Just bring your imagination and willingness to work.
We are not set up for drop-ins -you must sign up for one of scheduled workshops - which are posted here on this calendar.
Unfortunately, we are not set up for walk-ins. The type of art we create here (Printmaking) requires quite a bit of instruction, so all our workshops are pre-scheduled in advance - and you need to sign up through our website.
You can check our Event Calendar for all our upcoming workshops.
Most of our workshops are suitable for ages 18 months and up, unless otherwise noted.
Our Cartooning Workshops are best for ages 7 and up.
Our Toddler Workshops are for ages 1-4 years.
We would like to plan for a series of workshops and/or Studio time for older kids. We’re thinking that high-school age kids might like to have a place to go and create on weekday afternoons. If you are interested in something like this, please Contact Us.
We are not set up for drop-off.
The accompanying adults stay with the child - and you can work on your own projects too! We do not charge for the adults, only the kids.
No, the cost for the session includes the accompanying adults.
When we started this workshop 4 years ago, we wanted to create a place where kids and their parents/ grandparents/guardians spent a few hours being creative together and watching each other make their own art.
Note from Frank:
When my son Luke was in art class as a baby, I remember sitting off to the side watching him and wanting to create some stuff too. I told myself: “If I ever start my own art studio for kids, I’m gonna make it so that the adults can do the art too, to give kids and their adults an intimate few hours together, using their imaginations and creating together”.
Unfortunately, it is very difficult to get us on the phone. Our workshop is not the only thing we do. In addition to running Little Pulp, our small team have other jobs and projects that we are working on, which make it difficult for us to field calls.
If you’d like to speak with us on the phone, please send us an email and we can arrange a time to speak.
Two Main Reasons:
1. Rising Cost of Materials: The materials used for Slime have skyrocketed.
2. Complaints from the Parents of the Guests for the party.
Many of the guest-parents have been voicing complaints and a few have actually sent me cleaning bills as a result of their child putting the entire glob of their slime on their clothes and even in their hair.
The straw that broke the camels back was someone telling me they had to shave their child’s hair.
We do realize that kids love slime and feel badly that we won’t be offering it for birthdays - but we will be offering slime workshops throughout the year - so please check our calendar and sign up for one of the workshops.
Please note: as of June 1, 2024, we are no longer offering Slime-making for birthday parties (see previous FAQ for explanation).

Food/DrinkCake
Cost does not include food/drink/cake. Parents are responsible for bringing the food/drink/cake. You can bring whatever you’d like - most opt for pizza. We can give you recommendations of pizza places. We supply plates, napkins, utensils, etc - though we do not serve the food. All the parents pitch in to help get their kids food.
To keep track of birthday inquiries, we do require that you email us to check on availability. We’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
We do not take birthday inquiries via phone, since we get a lot of inquiries, we need to use email to keep track of everything. Hope you understand.
Do not use our online calendar to check if a date is available. That calendar is manually updated, so it is not always current.
That's a tough one to answer. Our workshop is not for everyone. If you are looking for a cute, quiet art party - this is not the place. Our studio is large, loud and we run each party with a lot of energy.
Check out some Yelp Reviews here.
We are a very small family run operation and -in addition to this workshop- we have another business that we run and freelance jobs - so if you want to get in touch with us, best way is to Fill out the Form Here. We will get back to you, via email, asap.
