Printmaking Workshop for Kids & Adults

June 30, 2018 1 min read

When we started this workshop back in March 2017, we set it up as a space for kids and their adults. Many adults without kids have come in and asked if they can create too. I realized that we’re limiting ourselves - and now that we’re offering Open Studio for the summer of 2018 (Mon-Fri from 2:00-6:30pm), we’re hoping this will be an alternative to going to the movies or other summer outings.

A group of friends can come in, grab some Starbuck's or some snacks here at Atlas Park, select a print package and create something for a few hours.

Here are a few shots of our shop in action - I have selected shots that I hope will give you a sense of what the Open Studio will be like. If you have any questions, please send us an email or stop by the shop and we’ll discuss the details of how Open Studio works. Mia, is an 8 year old artist that came to a few of our workshops. This print was made at her very first visit to our shop. It took her about 1 hour to create and all of us here at Little Pulp love this print so much.

Today, my wife, two boys and I just went on our very first road trip in a long time - and I am writing this sitting in a hotel room in center of Syracuse. Tomorrow morning, we are driving about 30 miles north to pick up Bowie, our new Australian Labradoodle puppy. She is supposed to be hypo-allergenic, we’ll see what happens - but we’re keeping her no matter what.

Discovering & Making New Drawing Tools

Kids love working with the tools of printmaking. Inspired by these tools, I am always trying to create my own tools for drawing & painting and our workshop is a perfect testing ground, where kids use them and let me know what they like and what they don’t like.
